The way it works
Rypple lets you send a question with optional ‘tags’ to as many people as you wish requesting their feedback. The tags allow your peers to rate you based on those tags. The recipients respond in their own time and their feedback is sent back to youanonymously.
Ryppleis ideal for individuals looking for feedback on particular pieces of work or even for general areas of concern. The system can clearly be used in a variety of working environments from offices to schools to healthcare to conferences.
Feedback on Rypple
Although still in private beta, I was fortunate to test the app myself and I’m delighted to say it does everything it says on the box and does it well. The interface is just as clean as the homepage, the dashboard that welcomes you gives you simple directions as to what options you have available to you. “Getting Feedback” is a piece of cake and once you’ve sent out your feedback request, the process of giving feedback is just as straight forward.
I’m not too “big” to admit, my first reaction on hearing the concept was a little negative and skeptical. However, on further investigation, thought and a little testing it’s easy to see how useful this tool could become for individuals across a scope of industries. Yes, you should be careful as to who you request feedback from because let’s face it, there are a lot of intentionally negative idiots out there. It would also be nice to make the “anonymous” feature optional and therefore be able to acknowledge feedback from certain people. I’d like to also be able to see possibly a real time view of feedback coming in, particularly helpful from a conference perspective. More visual analysis of the received feedback would also be high on my list of requested features…but frankly, these are clearly all add-ons and requests which I’m certain will come in due course once Rypple receives more feedback of their own.
All in all, i’m highly impressed and look forward to coming across Rypple for the first time in a real life scenario.
